Beetles
There are more species of beetles in the world than any other kind of insect. More than 350,000 different kinds are estimated, with more being discovered each year. Beetles vary in size and shape. Some are long and narrow, like the giraffe weevil. Others, like the ladybug, are short and round. Despite their differences in size, beetles have one feature in common-two hard front wings that cover the back wings like a case. These hardened wing covers prevent the back wings from being dam aged by other animals.
In the same way beetles use their protective covering, God's children are supposed to put on the "whole armor of God" so that we may be able to stand against the tricks of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Why not start by taking up your shield of faith today?
