The Bible Is Right!
Plants must be pollinated. Pollination is a way of planting seeds. Bees and other insects pollinate many plants. One example is the Yucca plant. This plant depends upon the Yucca moth for its pollination. What do you think would happen to the Yucca plant if there were no Yucca moths?
The Bible teaches that God created the world in six days (read Genesis 1 and Exodus 20:11). Some people try to convince us that these days were not normal 24-hour days. They say that the creation "days" were really periods of millions of years.
The book of Genesis declares that plants were created on the third day (Genesis 1:9-13), yet insects were not made until the fifth day (Genesis 1:20-23). If the pollinators (like the Yucca moth) were absent from the Earth for millions of years, much of the plant world would have died. This shows us that the days of the creation week could not have been long periods.
The Bible is from God and is trustworthy. It tells us that God created the world in six (normal) days. He knows, since He was there!
